Hello and welcome to my page!
My name is Yvonne…
To begin with I am a mother of 3 amazingly wonderful children, a daughter, 2 sons, a sister, a sister-in-law, a niece and a cousin to all those I am related to in some way or another…whether they like it, or not… 
Professionally I am an elementary school teacher, currently teaching grade five in an ethnically diverse and rich area. Grade 5 is and has always been my favourite grade to teach. I have taught grades one-six and a split or combined grade three times in my career.
I am a Canadian of Ukrainian decent. My culture has been an important part of shaping who I am today. The traditions, songs, community life and yummy foods. Although I must confess that mother and sister far surpass me in their culinary skills. I have never mastered that art of making cabbage rolls, and likely never will at this point.
I have a love of flowers and gardening. I have always been drawn to planting flowers and vegetable gardens, even if only in pots on a balcony. Flowers always perk me up and bring me joy. The weeding is certainly a less liked task in maintaining a garden. There is nothing like a fresh home grown tomato…which everyone is well aware of!
